A lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Labor against Wok King International Buffet Inc., and New Wok King International Buffet Inc., has been resolved by a federal judge, who ordered that the Kennewick restaurant and two officers pay $531 thousand in back wages, plus an equal amount in liquidated damages to 41 employees.

The Labor Department investigations found that Wok King International Buffet had violated minimum wage and record keeping regulations, after finding that some employees worked 63 hours a week without overtime pay, and some were paid less than $7.25, the required federal minimum wage, the Seattle PI reported.
