Peggy Green of Texarkana has filed a personal injury lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division against Boston Scientific Corp, dba Mansfield Scientific Inc & Microvasive Inc over complications allegedly stemming from the implantation of transvaginal mesh.

According to the lawsuit, Green had the Uphold Vaginal Support System transvaginal mesh implanted because of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Following the surgery, the lawsuit says that Green began to suffer from complications including painful intercourse, vaginal bleeding, as well as vaginal pain and pressure.

In the lawsuit, Green accuses Boston Scientific of negligence, breach of warranty, and failure to warn. The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, consequential, incidental, and exemplary damages, as well as attorney fees and court costs, the Southeast Texas Record reports.
