David Drury has filed a lawsuit against Madison Manor nursing home in Madison Circuit Court, Richmond, VA, alleging that the fcacility failed to provide his mother with proper care which lead to the deterioration of her health and ultimately to her death.

The nursing home negligence lawsuit  alleges that Madison Manor did not keep proper records for Drury’s mother, Lena McKinney, and that the nursing home failed to provide proper medication, failed to treat symptoms, monitor her pain, prevent malnutrition, and failed to provide adequate sanitary care and hygiene.

The lawsuit says that McKinney was a resident at Madison Manor from December 24, 2008 to July 22, 2009. She died July 23, 2009, as reported by the Richmond Register.

Drury’s lawsuit is the second filed against Madison Manor. The first lawsuit alleged that the nursing home failed to provide proper care to a man with a foot injury, which lead to amputation and then to death.

Drury’s lawsuit names Madison Manor administrator tiffany Cox, five unknown defendants and the corporation that owns Madison Manor, and seeks punitive and compensatory damages. Like the previous lawsuit, Drury seeks a jury trial.
