PC Mag reports that more than 25 million people are involved in a class action lawsuit against Apple regarding their iPhone 4 , and alleging the company was guilty of “concealing material information in the marketing, advertising, sale, and servicing of its iPhone 4—particularly as it relates to the quality of the mobile phone antenna and reception and related software.”
All iPhone purchasers who bought an iPhone 4 prior to 2-07-2012 will receive either an iPhone bumper or a $15 from Apple as part of the settlement.
Counsel for the plaintiffs have reported that the settlement will go before a judge for final approval on July 13, however, claims can be made after April 30. All iPhone 4 purchasers will receive an email regarding the settlement, and more information will be able to be found at www.iPhone4Settlement.com once the site goes live.
The class-action settlement will apply to those purchasers who did not return their phones for a refund or previously accept a free case from Apple regarding dropped calls.
